The fireworks alternative
Everything people love about a firework finale, minus everything venues ban them for: no bangs (pets, livestock and neighbours stay calm), no fallout zone, no fire risk, and rain doesn't cancel it — beams through rain look extraordinary. A 10–20 minute choreographed laser finale can run near the crowd, indoors or out, and unlike fireworks it can run again an hour later.
Schools and PTA fundraisers, Bonfire Night events, Christmas light switch-ons, councils and venues with firework restrictions: this is the show you book instead.
Weddings & first dances
Your names and date drawn in light behind the first dance, then a beam show over the dancefloor when the tempo lifts. Works in marquees, barns and venues where fireworks are off the table — and the whole thing is programmed to your songs before we arrive.

Safety is the show
Every operated show is signed off by a competent Laser Safety Officer: risk assessment and venue liaison included, audience-scanning calculated to MPE limits (in plain English: we measure exactly how much light can ever reach an eye, and stay under it), PLASA display-laser guidance and BS EN 60825 followed, public liability insured with certificates before your venue asks — and for outdoor skyward beams, CAA notification so aircraft are warned. This paperwork is why high-power laser shows are a crewed service.
Questions we get asked
How much does laser show hire cost?
Indoor: 7W cubes from £95/day dry, or £595/day for a pair with programming and our operator. Outdoor: the four-laser Skyline show, fully crewed with safety sign-off, from £3,950. Custom name/logo projection can be added to any operated show.
What happens if it rains?
The show goes on — our outdoor lasers are IP65 weatherproof, and beams passing through rain actually look better. The only weather that matters is strong wind, which disperses the haze beams need; we position haze upwind and plan for it at the site survey.
How dark does it need to be?
Outdoor shows are best from about an hour after sunset — the darker, the more dramatic. Indoors, we make the darkness.
How much space does a laser show need?
Almost none — that's the trick versus fireworks. No fallout zone, no exclusion radius for debris; the projectors sit behind or beside the crowd and paint the air above it. Setup is around two hours before doors.
How long is a laser show?
A choreographed showpiece runs 10–20 minutes — the sweet spot for a finale or first dance. In clubs and festivals the lasers run through the night, cued live or synced to the music.
Are laser shows safe for the audience?
Operated shows are planned and measured — audience-scanning calculated to MPE limits and signed off by a competent Laser Safety Officer, to PLASA display-laser guidance and BS EN 60825. Public liability insured, certificates on request.
Can I dry hire lasers?
The 7W cubes, yes — standard dry-hire terms and genuinely easy to use. The 32W units only leave the building with verified competent operators holding their own insurance; for everyone else they come with our crew, which is the better show anyway.
Do outdoor lasers need permission?
Skyward beams need CAA notification (aircraft safety) and occasionally local-authority conditions — our crewed shows handle all of it, including the site survey and risk assessment.
